Final Product:

Sixth Grade Child Narratives

Well, here it is. The final product of my repurposing project. The amount of time that went into researching, writing, and reflecting upon this subject matter really gave me the most positive experience with it. The skills I learned while writing this also helped me in other classes. For example, one of my stories for my fiction portfolio in English 223 is told from a sixth grader's perspective. I am also proud of my ability to generate my own prompt for a class. I hadn't really had that experience yet, so it was interesting to kind of play with how it should sound and be laid out. Though a lot of these narratives were related back to touchy subjects, I think they are somewhat eye opening to teachers, allowing them to understand that self-esteem is a larger issue thatn we are believing it to be. Read below for a trip down memory lane.
